It all started with a phone call…

Bonnie found herself in need of a legal knight in shining armor. She was referred to Zach, and on their first call, her dog Theo began barking in the background—Zach laughed and reassured her that his dog, Bear, was with him too, nestled under his desk. Bonnie ultimately felt comfortable with Zach and decided to hire him. Before their court date, Zach invited her to meet at his office to discuss everything in person.

Bonnie spotted Zach’s office down the long hallway. As she stepped into his office, Zach, who had his back to her, slowly turned around. It was like something out of a movie—time seemed to stand still as their eyes met for the first time. Little did they know, this meeting would lead not just to a legal success, but to the love of their lives.

After everything was resolved in the courthouse, Bonnie and Zach said their goodbyes and parted ways. It seemed like that was the end of it. They were never supposed to see each other again. As she walked away, Bonnie couldn’t shake an unexpected sadness.

Then, a few weeks later, Bonnie received an email from Zach. The court had made an error in the disposition of her case, and she needed to return to court to have the error corrected. Bonnie hadn’t expected to feel excited, but there it was— anticipation to see Zach again.

At their second court date, Zach took care of the issue and even got Bonnie a refund. The clerk had never heard of anyone getting a fine refunded and didn’t know how to process it, so Zach and Bonnie had an hour or so to chat about music, books, cooking, tennis, and their families. It felt so natural like they had known each other for a long time.

When everything was wrapped up with Bonnie's case, they said their goodbyes again. Zach thought that would be the last time he spoke to her. Bonnie emailed him asking if there was anything else she needed to do to wrap things up… but really, she was trying to stay in touch!

Not picking up on her intentions, Zach confirmed everything was finished and asked Bonnie if she’d leave him a Google Business Review. She agreed and wrote the best review the internet has ever seen!

Bonnie and Zach continued emailing back and forth, discovering they had so much in common—the emails grew longer and longer until they resembled old-school letters. Finally, Zach asked Bonnie if she would go to a concert with him. She said yes!

The concert itself was a blast! As the show got going, Zach cracked a few jokes in Bonnie’s ear, and her giggles made him feel like he could be his authentic, goofy self. Everything just felt easy and comfortable right from the start.

Afterward, Bonnie told Zach good night and that she needed to get home—but they ended up talking for two more hours not wanting to say goodbye. Within a short time, they both knew they were the one for each other!
